Kerry is phenomenal, she has such extensive knowledge on dog behaviour and different methods (all force-free of course) to help overcome dog behaviour. She was amazing with my mini Aussie, who is incredibly fear reactive. We had 3 sessions and the difference has already been great. I had a lot of knowledge myself on FF methods, however, Kerry was able to provide additional ideas that really have started to help my girl. We worked on reactivity inside the house and outside the house as well, she also introduced us to mantrailing, which Ember absolutely loved and caught onto so quickly! On our last session, Ember didn't bark once at anything outside while doing our activities - a first for her she was 7 months old. Cannot recommend Kerry enough!

We recently adopted a young terrier x dog, just under a year old, & were warned that she is an hysterical barker, has very high prey drive with small furry beings & pulls on the lead.
We wanted to minimise these behaviours as much as possible & found Kerry. She was very supportive & clearly knows her stuff. We got lots of tips & tricks to use outside of our session. Holly, our dog, has improved massively. The hysterical barking has all but stopped - she still likes a bark but who doesn't! The frantic pulling has stopped. The prey drive is there still but isn't as overwhelming. Holly is a lot calmer & seems to want to make good choices for herself & us.
I would definately recommend Kerry to anyone who wants only positive, collaborative ways to help their dogs.

I just wanted to send Kerry a huge thanks for all of her help and wonderful advice with Ava! I am a remote client, and worked with Kerry from my home in Australia, with the goal of reducing Ava’s reactivity to other dogs. I have worked with other, local trainers without success, but Kerry’s non-judgemental, understanding, and empathetic approach was wonderfully effective and healing for both of us! In such a short time, Ava has come so far with her reactivity. It was a real problem before but we have already seen such huge improvements, and it has definitely brought Ava pup and I closer together. Kerry takes a practical, straight forward, and effective approach, always keeping the well-being of the dogs front of mind. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Excellent Service
We have a 17 week old Frenchie, and as first time dog owners we needed a little guidance and thats when we reached out to Kerry. Howl🐾
Our first session with Kerry was fantastic she showed us some really great tips and techniques which I couldn’t believe my eyes she had our little boy sitting, listening and looking at me (Our Baby was only 12 weeks old at the time) She really is like a dog whisperer.
Kerry was so accommodating and was always able to fit around us which was so great as it meant my partner could join us and pick up some tips and techniques, despite it being a Sunday morning kerry fitted us in.
I would highly recommend Kerry and her Expertise.
Great Service 🐾🐶

I started working with Kerry when my cocker spaniel puppy was around 4 months. Whilst my dog didn't have any huge behavioural issues, I wanted some help to crack the key areas like recall and lead walking before he began to embed the bad habits. And Kerry @ HOWL was brilliant! She was able to fit us in really quickly and has been very flexible about how often and what we trained. I now have a 5 month old puppy who barely pulls on the lead and who's recall is next to perfect. She made the complicated, simple and has helped me train my pup into someone who doesn't cause me to want to pull out my hair. For the amount of work we do, I also thought the pricing to be incredibly reasonable. Couldn't recommend HOWL more highly.

I honestly couldn’t recommend Howl School for Dogs more highly. Kerry is absolutely incredible! In just a few sessions she taught me so much about how to meet my dog’s needs. Ripley is already a much happier, more confident dog for it and I feel so great knowing that I’m doing everything I can for her. Kerry supported me to improve her diet, investigate (with the vet) potential physical triggers and understand her emotions so that I can identify and interpret her behaviours and what they’re communicating to me. Hard work and dedication has definitely been required on my end, and will continue to be, but the rewards are more than worth it. What could be better than knowing you’re providing everything your dog needs to be happy, healthy and confident? Every dog deserves to have Kerry in their lives!

After having some challenges with our puppy, Kerry was highly recommended. She did not disappoint!
Kerry offered very timely support, where she listened to our challenges without judgement. It was very clear she cared about our pooch and had his best interests at heart. She put his wellbeing at the forefront of her approach, always careful not to overwhelm/overload him. Her approach was calming and reassuring. She made reasonable adjustments for our own fluctuating needs.
Since working with Kerry, our bond with our pup has grown twofold. The challenges have reduced massively. We finished working with kerry and was left with some homework which is going really well!
If ever we need support for our dog in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to get back in touch with Kerry. We're so grateful for her.

I’ve followed Kerry for ages on instagram and always enjoyed and benefited from her online posts. I’m so glad I eventually took the plunge and reached out for support with my reactive Romanian rescue dog Peanut. To be honest I had some reservations about remote training as I couldn’t really get my head around how it could work. From the second I spoke to Kerry my concerns were gone and working remotely proved to be excellent. Kerry is warm, friendly and really knows her stuff! She’s helped me figure out peanuts behaviour and how best I can manage it. I’ve learnt so much in working with her and her knowledge and understanding of dog behaviour is second to none. I cannot recommend Kerry enough (and she is as funny as hell!)

I went to Kerry for help with sonic to help build his confidence and work on recall. I am so happy with how kerry has gave us tips and activities to work on when sonic experiences situations which he finds stressful and gives him a way to cope and realise it’s not as bad as he feels in the moment.
I have had 3 sessions with kerry over a few months and i can now say that sonic is a confident dog and I understand his body language and his limits. Kerrys way of training is so kind and allows sonic to take his time and work on things at his own pace.
I will be recommending Howl school for dogs to anyone i come across looking for any tips or training for their dog.

I would 100% recommend Howl School for Dogs for anybody who needs support with their canine best friend. Kerry helped me to understand why my boy Pablo was being reactive whilst on leash and we worked on a number of simple yet effective ways that I could relieve the stress that he was feeling. This has led to a much calmer and happier boy, who is walking well on lead and making much better choices. The work we have done has hugely built my confidence as well as Pablo’s. Kerry is a pleasure to work with and has been patient, supportive, professional and motivational throughout our programme. Before meeting Kerry I found that all of the different advice that’s available out there was overwhelming and confusing, but we are now confidently on the right track. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again or to recommend to anybody who needs help with their dog!

Kerry has been absolutely instrumental in helping our anxious boy feel more comfortable. We did two remote sessions with Kerry when she was based up north, and then an in person session when she moved locally to us. Kerry was incredibly helpful, listening to where we think there are issues, asking great questions, and providing a useful set of ways we can help his anxiety.
She also helped us identify some things which we didn't realise were triggers for him, allowing us to help him in more ways than we had originally planned.
Each session included full explanations and demonstrations of what to do, and was very quickly followed up by a detailed written training plan, explaining the aims and techniques of everything we covered in the sessions, as well as helpful links to videos.
We are so fortunate to have worked with Kerry and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

Kerry has been so great with me and my rescue Billie who's struggling in the big, wide world and is reactive to dogs. When I felt I was stuck with making progress on my own, I approached Kerry to see if she can help us. She uses only force-free training methods, assessing each dogs' needs and championing them. Her advice, guidance and methods is what we really needed! I've bonded more with my dog, we've had much more enjoyable walks since, and we continue to work at home. Kerry has also been an incredible support to me when I doubt myself, encouraging my efforts as a dog owner. She has so much love and care for dogs, it's great to see! We look forward to continue working with Kerry.

I can’t say enough good things about Kerry. She genuinely loves dogs and is totally invested in giving them and their humans the right skills and tips to help even the most complex of cases. I adopted a new rescue in September. He was originally from Romania and was totally traumatised by what he had experienced over there. He had no previously been rehomed with another family but was given up after biting several times.
I’m so happy to say he is like a new dog these days, he’s calm, trusting, happy and is excited to go outside for walks (which he never wanted to do at first). I’ve not finished Roscoes rehabilitation but we have literally made so much progress with Kerry’s help.
She makes sure to understand the specific needs of your dog, their breed and history. Her lesson plans are detailed and thorough. I’d recommend her without a doubt.

We had online sessions with Kerry for our noise sensitive adolescent dog and had a fantastic experience. We’re incredibly grateful to have found Howl School for Dogs.
Kerry is of course very knowledgeable and experienced but is also clearly incredibly passionate about and committed to the work she does. Because of this, Kerry is very thorough and leaves no stone unturned in getting to the root cause of challenging behaviour, allowing for actual and sustained behaviour change rather than quick fixes that do considerably more harm than good in the long run.
After even the first couple of weeks working with Kerry (both in sessions and follow up support on WhatsApp) our dog’s confidence grew considerably and we are now significantly better equipped to help her moving forward. I would recommend Kerry to anyone who’s looking to help their dog through their challenging behaviour!

Thank you Kerry! I wanted Kerry’s help with my 2 dogs who were struggling with fear reactivity. Her help has made a dramatic difference in their ability to ignore other dogs (and to calm down more quickly 95% of the time on the odd occasion something sets them off.)
My younger dog is gaining confidence with unfamiliar people too, which is fantastic.
Her clear guidance, step-by-step notes, and support between sessions was so valuable to me as a neurodivergent person. It kept me on track, with gentle accountability and the comfort that no question was too stupid!
I am so glad I took the plunge and had her support. If anything, I wish I’d done it sooner!

My guardian consulted with Kerry because they wanted to connect better with me and start us working together. I needed help having ear drops in and getting my feet trimmed, plus humans want me to work on my recall.
Kerry really got to know me and was also very patient with my guardian. She was flexible and split our sessions up so we could do a bit at a time. She coached my human to build their skills in co-operative care. Plus she recommended I get good treats. I came on in leaps and bounds and my human practised every day.
I love to steal food when no one is looking. Kerry has made sure I don’t get a telling off for this but that my human has strategies to manage me. Kerry also makes recommendations for books that will help my people.
I 100% recommend Kerry. She is supportive and is always on the dog’s side, looking at what is best for us.

I found Kerri on Instagram and I am so very glad I did. My miniature dachshund has been dog reactive since being attacked as a puppy and, while we’ve done lots of work with him, I was at the limit of my abilities.
Kerri’s force free approach gave me practical exercises to do to help Pip manage his feelings about dogs, and to help manage his barking inside the house (sausage owners, iykyk!).
Working with Kerri really boosted my confidence in making the right choices to support my dog, and I have already recommended her online content to several dog owning friends.
I would absolutely come back to Kerri for any additional support I need for my dog.

Kerry is a fantastic trainer, she is warm, kind, understanding and knows her stuff!
She has been helping me with my reactive pup, who is mostly scared of traffic, loud noises and strangers. She showed me what I needed to do, the techniques I should use, and helped devise a training plan with clear objectives in mind, which immediately helped me feel better and less overwhelmed about everything.
The training is ongoing, and probably will be for a long time (maybe even forever), but I am seeing huge improvements in my pup's behaviour and mental state when he's outside.
Kerry is very responsive and she returns messages and calls immediately.

Kerry is a kind, friendly and knowledgeable trainer. She doesn't just give general advice, but really makes an effort to understand your dog and your living situation. After the first virtual session, Kerry had already given me a wealth of great ideas to use with my dog Trudy for training, enrichment and her overall happiness and health.
She was always happy to offer advice with the thousand 'issues' I threw at her and always had a smart solution. I'm looking forward to keep working on the techniques Kerry has given us, and won't hesitate to book further sessions when we need expert advice in the future.

I sought help from HSfD recently to provide an objective view on my old dog's behaviour to make a difficult end of life decision.
Kerry was compassionate and thoughtful and highlighted several subtle signals that our dog was giving that my husband and I had been oblivious to.
Our communications were remote (via WhatsApp/email and videocall). All comms were clear, and helpful - there were no issues with the remote aspect of the relationship.
We're now going ahead with HSfD for training advice for our other dog which will start in a week or so. I'd highly recommend Kerry if you're struggling as we were.

Science based, professional, force-free and fun dog training. I attended Howl puppy school for 6 weeks which was an incredible support in the early days of pet guardianship. In a small group we learned force-free, positive reinforcement based techniques as well as socialising our pets. Kerry is a qualified professional, able to share her knowledge in an accessible and fun way. I also engaged Kerry for some at home 1:2:1 sessions for specific behavioural needs. These were well worth the investment and really helped us. I found Kerry through recommendation so I’m keen to pass on my extremely positive experience to others.

Kerry is one of the most supportive, understanding and loveliest humans in the universe! My reactive girl has made so much progress already with her guidance and expertise and we are looking forward to more training in the new year! Kerry has helped me build the confidence to advocate for my dogs needs and the tools to make the world a bit more of a predictable, safer place for her 🧡 I can confirm her speciality skills include but are not limited to lobbing half eaten chocolate bars from the floor on to a garage roof with extreme precision so it doesn't get snaffled by your dog! #notallheroes

I did some online sessions with Kerry and couldn’t recommend her more as a trainer. I took on a very small, very anxious 3 year old chihuahua who really needed help bringing her confidence up. She was scared of other dogs when I got her in February and now she’s actually approaching certain dogs calmly and playing, it’s so nice to see. She was understandably overwhelmed being rehomed but she’s settled now and we have so much trust which is all you can ask for! Positive reinforcement is really the only way to go if you want a genuine relationship with your dog. I noticed that building her confidence in one area led to another area being easier for her to handle e.g learning to play with toys solo meant that being left alone wasn’t scary for her anymore. Not only was the training great but the nutritional advice was so helpful. She’s a happy pooch and I’m a happy guardian! Thank you Kerry!

Our experience with Howl: School for dogs was amazing , Kerry has taught me more in 1 hour than all the other trainers & behaviourists we’ve had over 20 years. Kerry helped me understand the needs of our rescue puppy.
Behaviours which I thought were destructive were her way of showing us what she likes to do, for example treats taped inside an egg box, (she loves to shred any kind of box )lick mats , frozen kongs , letting her dictate what she sniffs On her walk. All of the above has given us a calmer dog. Kerry has taught us to get into her dog world & not expect her to automatically fit in to ours. We have boundaries of course, but they are done with love, kindness and a deeper understanding of dog behaviour . A truly holistic approach which I love. Marnie is still learning about the world around her, allowing her to choose who & what she approaches , allowing her to explore at her pace not ours .
Thank you
